Mehdi Masoudfar is the Founder and Principal Consultant of EPCI Canada, bringing more than 23 years of international Engineering & EPC Consulting experience across engineering, procurement, vendor surveillance, construction support, inspection, quality assurance, commissioning, and project delivery within the energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, and heavy industrial sectors.
Throughout his career, Mehdi has partnered with project owners, EPC contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, and industrial operators on complex capital projects across North America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. His experience spans the complete project lifecycle—from engineering and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final project handover—delivering practical solutions that improve quality, reduce technical risk, and support successful project delivery.
His multidisciplinary expertise includes engineering and design coordination, vendor surveillance, manufacturing quality oversight, inspection and quality assurance, field engineering, construction support, commissioning readiness, Mechanical Completion, Manufacturing Data Report (MDR) review, asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems. By combining engineering knowledge with extensive field execution experience, he helps clients ensure that engineering solutions are practical, constructable, testable, compliant, and aligned with project objectives.
Mehdi has contributed to major industrial developments involving pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, mechanical packages, manufacturing surveillance, and construction quality across diverse industrial sectors. His leadership approach emphasizes engineering excellence, disciplined execution, collaboration, continuous improvement, and risk-based decision-making throughout every phase of project delivery.
His work is guided by internationally recognized engineering and quality standards, including ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, AWS, CSA, IEC, and IEEE, together with project-specific client requirements.
