EPCI Canada Inc.

EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Inspection) is a professional engineering and inspection services organization providing inspection, field engineering, construction, and pre-commissioning consultancy, as well as engineering support to industrial and energy projects worldwide. The company’s capabilities are founded on more than two decades of continuous international and Canadian project experience.

Company History

Foundation and International Operations

EPCI’s professional operations were established in 2002, with a primary focus on international oil and gas construction, inspection, and pre-commissioning activities. During this initial phase, EPCI was actively involved in third-party inspection services, field engineering, and construction consultancy, supporting large-scale projects executed by leading EPC contractors.

During this period, EPCI contributed to complex, multi–billion-dollar international projects in collaboration with organizations such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Chiyoda, Technip, JGC, Toyo, Daelim, SGS, and various regional contractors. End clients included major operators such as Total, Agip (ENI), and QatarGas.

Key Services Delivered During This Period

All activities were performed in accordance with recognized international codes, standards, and project execution procedures.

2002–2008

Expansion into Engineering and Project Consultancy

From 2008 onward, EPCI expanded its scope beyond inspection and construction support into engineering, procurement consultancy, and project advisory services.

Between 2008 and 2017, EPCI supported a wide range of greenfield and brownfield projects across North Africa (Libya), the Middle East (Iran, Iraq, Qatar, UAE), and the Far East (China), delivering the following services:

2008–2017

Transition to Canada and Market Integration

In 2017, the founder of EPCI transitioned operations to Canada, marking a strategic shift toward the North American industrial and energy markets.

Between 2017 and 2021, the founder was actively involved in Canadian projects across sectors beyond oil, gas, and petrochemicals, including:

Key Services Delivered During This Period

  • Food and processing facilities
  • Drying and evaporation systems
  • Pulp and paper
  • Biogas and renewable energy

During this phase, services including piping design and engineering, manufacturing inspection, field engineering, project management, construction support, and commissioning readiness were delivered to various Canadian clients such as Tetra Tech (VCR / Suncor projects), Xebec, Dedert, Salas O’Brien, PyroGenesis, and AFRY. These engagements established a strong operational presence and professional network within Canada.

2017–2021

Incorporation of EPCI Canada Inc. and Current Operations

To formally consolidate its Canadian and international activities, EPCI Canada Inc. was incorporated in 2021.

Since incorporation, EPCI Canada Inc. has focused primarily on inspection and third-party QA/QC services, working in collaboration with internationally accredited inspection bodies such as RINA and Bureau Veritas. Services have been delivered across a broad range of industrial facilities and operating environments, including projects for major clients such as Hatch and ExxonMobil.

In parallel, founder-led professional engagements under direct service contracts have continued to contribute specialized expertise across pulp and paper, food processing, biogas, and green energy sectors. This includes participation in preliminary and feasibility studies for a battery manufacturing facility in Sweden with Northvolt. These engagements strengthen EPCI’s technical depth and sector coverage and support the company’s overall capabilities, without representing direct corporate contractual execution.

These projects demonstrate EPCI’s ability to support clients from concept development through execution readiness.

2021–Present
