Butia Pelletizing Plant CDQ Project – China

16+ Months • 30+ Fabrication Facilities • 8 Provinces • 80,000+ km Travel

Client-representative vendor surveillance and manufacturing inspection across more than 30 fabrication facilities throughout China, supporting the procurement of piping, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, boilers, and rotary ball mills for the Butia Pelletizing Plant CDQ Project.

Scope included vendor qualification and audits, pre-inspection meetings, review of manufacturing and quality documentation, welding and NDT surveillance, hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, functional testing, progress monitoring, and expediting activities to support project schedule requirements.

Inspection activities covered material traceability verification, welding quality control, dimensional inspection, pressure testing, coating inspection, final acceptance inspections, and review of Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs) prior to shipment release.

The program also included identification of nonconformities, contract deviations, and quality risks, client reporting, coordination of corrective actions with manufacturers, and verification of compliance with project specifications, procurement requirements, and quality standards.

This nationwide vendor surveillance program successfully safeguarded equipment quality, supported schedule adherence, and maintained contract compliance across a geographically dispersed Chinese supply chain.
